Robert T. Szostak joined Rubin, Glickman, Steinberg and Gifford in March, 2008. He concentrates his practice in the area of Civil Litigation. He is an accomplished trial attorney with over 20 years of experience in representing victims of catastrophic medical malpractice and other complex personal injury matters. Mr. Szostak's wide ranging practice is based upon a recognized commitment to achieving the best possible recovery as quickly as possible for his clients. He concentrates his practice in the fields of medical negligence, insurance bad faith, fraud, defamation, products liability and personal injury involving motor vehicles, amusement parks, construction accidents, and premises liability. Mr. Szostak has been lead trial or co-trial counsel in more than thirty-five jury trials and has achieved many million dollar resolutions. Examples include:

Mr. Szostak has also secured numerous other settlements for victims of vehicular and premises negligence, false imprisonment, product defect, commercial fraud, breach of contract, accounting and attorney malpractice, and construction negligence. He has handled numerous appellate matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Mr. Szostak received a B.A. from Brown University in 1976, and his law degree from the Widener University School of Law in 1982, where he wrote for the law review and received awards in appellate advocacy.

In June, 2008, Mr. Szostak was recognized by Philadelphia Magazine as one of its "Super Lawyers", ranking him in the top 5% of lawyers statewide in the field of medical malpractice. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and in the District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey, and he is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He often serves as faculty for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and trial attorney associations in his practice areas. Mr. Szostak is an active member of the Montgomery Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association, where he is an executive officer of the State Civil Litigation Section and was Chairman of the Rules and Procedure Committee and Medical-Legal Committee for several years.

Mr. Szostak has also dedicated his time and many talents to La Salle College High School were he is an Alumni Trustee and Past President of its prestigious Alumni Association. He approaches law and life with genuine integrity, personal and professional excellence, and a committed passion for leadership, service of others and the pursuit of justice.

Besides his active involvement in the law and legal community, Mr. Szostak enjoys a balance of family time with his wife and sons, personal fitness, reading, movies, music and various outdoor activities.
